Cookies Policy

Netolink (hereinafter: “the Company” or “we”) utilizes cookies and similar tracking and storage technologies, including Pixels, Web Beacons, and Local Storage, during the operation of the Company’s websites at netolink.co.il and netolink.com (hereinafter collectively: “the Website”).

This policy explains what cookies are, the types of cookies used on the Website, the legal basis for their operation, how long they are stored, and how the user can manage, modify, or delete them at any time. This policy constitutes an integral part of the Website’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

1. What are Cookies and Local Storage Technologies?

  • Cookies: Small text files downloaded to the user’s end-device (computer, smartphone, tablet) via the web browser when visiting the Website. These files allow the Website to recognize the user’s device upon repeat visits, save browsing preferences, collect statistical data, and improve the user experience.
  • Local Storage: A technology that allows data to be stored locally within the user’s browser. Unlike classic cookies, information in Local Storage is not automatically sent to the server with every request, allowing it to hold a larger volume of data with higher persistence.
  • Important Clarification: These technologies do not, by themselves, collect data that identifies the user by direct name or email address unless the user chooses to actively provide such details (e.g., by filling out a contact form or utilizing the various digital tools on the Website).

2. Consent Management Mechanism & User Preferences

Full control over the categories of data collected remains in the user’s hands. The Website operates a dynamic, customized Cookie Consent Manager:

  • On the First Visit: The user is presented with a dedicated Consent Banner allowing the option to accept all cookies, decline all cookies (except strictly necessary ones), or customize preferences by category. This banner includes a direct link to this Cookies Policy page.
  • The Floating Settings Button: As long as the user has not fully accepted the cookie terms, or if the user has chosen to decline or revoke consent, a floating settings button will be displayed in the corner of the screen for quick access to the Consent Manager. If the user accepts all categories of cookies, this floating button will be hidden from the screen to ensure a clean browsing experience.
  • Modifying or Revoking Consent at Any Time: Independent of the floating button’s visibility, the user can change settings or withdraw consent at any moment directly from within this Policy page, which is accessible via the “Legal Terms & Policies” aggregation page on the Website.

  • Preference Retention Period: User choices and the consent map will be saved in the system for a period of 365 days from their last update, or until manually cleared by the user.
  • Technical Note on Saving Consent: To remember the user’s choice, consent settings are stored using a dedicated Local Storage element belonging to the consent management system. This means that clearing standard cookies via browser settings will not delete this consent configuration. To manually reset it, the user must use the dedicated link provided above or clear the browser’s Local Storage.

3. Types of Cookies Used on the Website

The use of tracking and cookie technologies is classified into four strict categories, aligned with the settings of the Website’s Consent Manager:

  • Strictly Necessary Cookies:
    • Description: Cookies and Local Storage components essential for the proper, secure, and operational functioning of the Website. They enable secure navigation, fraud protection, preservation of accessibility settings selected by the user, and the stabilization and execution of the digital tools and calculators embedded in the Website.
    • Status:Always Active. This category cannot be disabled or blocked via the Website’s consent interface, as the Website cannot function without these components.
  • Performance & Analytics Cookies:
    • Description: Cookies that collect statistical and anonymous data regarding how visitors use the Website. They help the Company understand which pages are popular, how much time users spend on core Pillar Pages, and identify technical errors or slow page loading times. The Website utilizes industry-leading third-party systems for this purpose, such as Google Analytics.
    • Status:Subject to Express Consent (Opt-In). They will not be activated or collect information unless the user explicitly approves them in the consent interface.
  • Functionality Cookies:
    • Description: Cookies that allow the Website to remember prior choices made (such as interface language, geographic region, or unidentifiable data entered within the various tools on the Website) to provide a more personalized, focused, and faster browsing experience during subsequent visits.
    • Status:Subject to Express Consent (Opt-In). They will not be activated or collect information unless the user explicitly approves them in the consent interface.
  • Targeting & Advertising Cookies:
    • Description: Cookies installed on the Website by the Company or its authorized advertising partners (including Meta/Facebook, Google, LinkedIn). They are used to build a non-identifiable interest profile of the user to display personalized advertisements (Retargeting) across the web and social media networks following a visit, and to measure marketing campaign effectiveness.
    • Status:Subject to Express Consent (Opt-In). They will not be activated or collect information unless the user explicitly approves them in the consent interface.

4. Google Consent Mode v2 Protocol

The Website fully integrates and implements the Google Consent Mode v2 protocol. This means that Google’s marketing and analytics systems operating on the Website are managed dynamically based uniquely on the choices made in the Consent Banner:

  • As long as express consent has not been granted (or if the user chooses to refuse analytics and advertising cookies), the system automatically transitions to a restricted, secure state. In this mode, no advertising or personal tracking cookies will be stored or read on the user’s device, and Google will only receive functional, aggregated “signals” that exclude personal identifiers, fully preserving the user’s privacy.
  • Only upon positive and express consent will the full tracking and optimization capabilities of the measurement and advertising tools be enabled.

5. Legal Basis for Data Processing

The Company processes and operates tracking technologies and cookies in accordance with applicable legal provisions, including Amendment 13 to the Protection of Privacy Law, 5742-1982 (Israel), and the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), to the extent that they apply to users accessing from the European Union:

  • Strictly Necessary Cookies: The legal basis for their operation is the Company’s Legitimate Interest to provide a functional, secure, and working website, and to fulfill contractual performance when the user utilizes the various tools on the Website.
  • Analytics, Functionality, and Advertising Cookies: The legal basis for their operation is the user’s free, explicit, and informed Consent, granted via the Website’s Consent Manager and revocable at any time.

6. Managing, Blocking, and Deleting Cookies via the Browser

In addition to the Consent Manager embedded in the Website, broader control over cookie usage always remains in the user’s hands through software settings. Most web browsers are pre-configured to accept cookies automatically, but the user can alter browser settings to block cookies fully or partially, or to prompt an alert every time a cookie is sent to the device.

To manually delete or block cookies, the user should follow the instructions located within the help or settings menus (Settings / Privacy / Security) of the specific browser used (Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, etc.).

Please Note: A sweeping block of cookies via browser settings (as opposed to targeted management via the Website interface) may broadly impair the browsing experience, and certain features, digital tools, or capabilities offered on the Website may not function as intended.

7. Changes to the Cookies Policy

The Company reserves the right to update, change, or amend this Cookies Policy from time to time, driven by technological shifts, updates to the Website’s tracking frameworks, or stricter regulatory and statutory requirements. The binding version is the most current draft published on this page; checking it periodically is recommended.
